National Cat Day October 29th

Karen Focht October 30, 2014

Hank loved his pets more than anything in the world. He passed away many years ago, but his legacy for loving his pets lives on, through this photo. Hank was from Shelby, Indiana. He lived inside this decaying home, In the mid 80's. He had such a warm heart, filled with love for his little friends, including this kitty, an orphan.  The neighborhood kids often hurt Hank's pets and he would spend every last sent he had to help and feed them.

After this story ran in the newspaper, the phone rang off the hook with people that were touched by the story and wanted to help both Hank and his pets. The community came together and donated money, food, and house repairs. Many people looked out for Hank until he passed away.
