Soul Singer Al Green Kennedy Center Honoree

Karen Focht December 8, 2014

Soul singer Rev. Al Green preaches in his own church, Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Memphis, Tennessee recently. Green is among five artists receiving this year’s Kennedy Center Honors, the national awards for influencing American culture through the arts. There will be a performance Dec. 7 and a reception at the White House.  President Obama is his #1 fan. Green has sold more than 20 million albums and won 11 Grammys.

I have been lucky enough spend several Sunday's in Rev. Al Green's church in Memphis Tennessee.

Here are some interesting links to an interview and Al Green in his church.
