I have returned from a great picture hunt in Italy. Chasing moments, gelato, wine and great food; the best part of Italy is always it's people. Italy, so full of fun, romance, love and a spirit for a quality of life that is all too hard to find these days.

This (Nov) is the perfect time of year for mushroom hunting in Tuscany. I found this gentleman walking along a quiet road with his basket of mushrooms, that he had just picked. Truffle hunters often park their cars in a different location from where they pick truffles, so they don’t give away their secret location.

White Truffles are rare. Truffles can go for as much as $2,000 per pound. We were told that truffle hunters could bring in more that $10,000 a day this time of year. The white ones are only available a couple of months of the year, almost exclusively from one part of Italy.

We went to Tuscany, these pictures are from San Gimignano, Assisi, Passignano, Volterra, Sienna and various wonderful places we stumbled upon.
