Baby Winnie Is Grown Up!

Karen Focht August 28, 2020

Remember when Binti, one of our favorite hippos at the Memphis zoo had tiny little baby Winnie? Winnie was born March of 2017. Well, some time has passed and now Winnie is BIG just like her mom! The average female weighs around 3,000 lbs!

Enjoy this video of the two spending time together recently on the exhibit.

In case you forget how little Winnie was when we first met her, here are some links to other videos of her when she was a just baby and just starting to grow up.

Winnie was learning how to be a Hippo by following her mommy around and watching what she does.

Winnie became so playful as she grew up.

Remember when Winnie turned one?
