Emmett Till Case Reopened

Karen Focht July 12, 2018

~Emmett Louis Till was a 14-year-old African-American who was lynched in Mississippi in 1955, after flirting with a white woman in her family's grocery store in Money, Mississippi. He was later abducted and beaten to death. The location is now part of the Mississippi Freedom Trail. The federal government has reopened his murder case. The Justice Department said in a statement Thursday that it was reopening the investigation "after receiving new information"
