Precious Achiuwa Named AAC Player of the Year!

Congratulation to University of Memphis freshman Precious Achiuwa who was named American Athletic Conference Player of the Year along with many other awards this season. Here is a photo gallery with some season highlights.

My personal favorite few facts about Precious are that he was born in Nigeria and his siblings are named God'sgift Achiuwa, God'swill, Promise, Grace and Peace. His parents are are both Pentecostal ministers.

He mused once about what his life might be like if he hadn’t picked up a basketball.

Even after a most unusual and difficult season in so many ways, Geoff Calkins quoted Precious as saying ““I would definitely come here again if I had to go back and make the same choice,” Achiuwa said. “I feel like this is the right place for me.” https://dailymemphian.com/subscriber/section/sports/article/11406/calkins

Memphis is proud of you Precious! Good luck!

Earlier this season the University of Memphis published a few fun facts about Precious. His favorite place to shop is Saks on 5th. His favorite historical figure is Jesus. His favorite athlete is LeBron James. His favorite meal is Pasta. His favorite candy is Starburst and his favorite ice cream is Cake Batter.
