Steve Martin Wraps Up Tour.

Karen Focht August 3, 2014

Comedian Steve Martin, performed at Snowden Grove Amphitheater, Saturday evening, in his more current role as a blue grass musician, as he wound up his tour. He is touring with the North Carolina bluegrass band the Steep Canyon Rangers and singer-musician Edie Brickell (right). He did use every opportunity to still get a laugh, while performing with his banjo. The Martin-Brickell the pair has collaborated on a musical together. “Bright Star,” based on an original story by the two set in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the early 20th century, will have its world premiere September 13 at the Old Globe Theater in San Diego, California.

Woody Platt  plays guitar for the Steep Canyon Rangers. Mike Guggino plays mandolin.
